Synopsis
Barn Again 37 -- Built by Loraine "Dickey" Anglesey, Clarence, Marion & LaVene Hoopes in 1930-33 - present owner Alvin Robinson. From the November 2004 SVHS Calendar Alvin Robinson Barn (Fairview) "Barn was built in 1930 by Loraine "Dicky" Anglesey & Clarence, Marion & Lavere Hoopes. Purpose was for a cow and Horse barn and to store hay and other feed with a tack room for harnesses & Saddles. A track with a fork was installed in 1936 to make filling the hayloft easier. It was built with red pine, rough cut lumber from Matthew Alleman's Sawmill up Crow Creek. Clarence was a farmer & a freighter on the Crow Creek Road. Current use id for storage. Alvin added the "R" (his brand) & painted it red in the 1990's". This barn is part of the Barn Again Project - Barn Again #37 and #50.
